Community Inclusion Specialist

Our Community Inclusion Director, Katherine Generaux, provides on-site technical assistance to child care facilities serving children with special needs or developmental concerns, and assists child care providers in making modifications as needed to the environment or the curriculum to address needs.  Katherine provides information on available resources and assist with appropriate referrals as needed.  Katherine also assists teachers with the implementation of the CSEFEL program.  CSEFEL stands for The Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning.  Katherine offers CSEFEL training classes and workshops in the community.   In addition, she provides trainings to child care providers on topics related to caring for children with special needs, and she teams with other PIL staff members to facilitate support groups for families of children with disabilities.
