She is committed to her growth in the field and has exhibited that through the 50 plus training hours she has done in early intervention this year. Amie works hard to ensure that communication is open with all families. Children are naturally drawn to her warm personality. She is always striving to find new strategies for the child and families to meet their goals. Amie has made it a priority to become knowledge of all the resources in her community to better assist the families in meeting their goals. | |
![]() | April Kluttz April has been a member of the Partners In Learning team as a teacher in our 2 year old classroom and 4 year old classroom for 5 years. She has a B- K degree from Catawba College. I have observed her on a regular basis and she has a clear understanding of child development which is demonstrated through her interactions with the children. April has worked with numerous children with special needs. She is aware of the requirements and is willing to work diligently toward the goal of achieving certification. She is very much a people person and easy to get to know which is a real plus in going into people’s homes. She is willing to do whatever necessary to achieve this goal and is very much self-driven. | |
![]() | Beverly Maurice As a parent, tutor, previous Sunday school teacher, previous babysitter, a previously registered CNA and a recent graduate of Catawba College (majoring in Therapeutic Recreation), Beverly is passionate about working to improve the quality of other people's lives. With a clear understanding of the benefits of play therapy to infants and toddlers, Beverly is confident and comfortable with working with these young children. Beverly's goal is to strengthen the minds and bodies of children with special needs by providing developmentally age appropriate play activities to each individual child. Furthermore, Beverly understands the importance of working with the families and other caregivers as part of a total team effort. | |

![]() | Deborah Howell Deborah Howell is the Program Coordinator at Partners In Learning and has provided CBRS since 2005. Deborah has her BS in Human Development and Family Studies, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Leadership in Early Care and Education and is currently working toward her Masters Degree in Birth-Kindergarten: Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development (BK:ISED) at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Deborah has a special interest in working with infants and their families. | |
Erin Pastushok Erin Pastushok has worked in early intervention and education for the past eighteen years. During this time she has respectfully worked with families and professionals with various socioeconomic and multidisciplinary backgrounds. Erin has worked as a teacher, program coordinator, and inclusion specialist with Norma for 12 years before taking a director’s position in Charlotte at Bright Horizons Family Solutions and is currently the director of a child care center in Mooresville, NC. As an Inclusion Specialist, Erin performed developmental assessments on all children in our center and referring all children with potential delays to proper agencies and participating in the development of I.E.P.’s and I.F.S.P.’s for children with diagnosed special needs. She planned and developed monthly “Parent to Parent” Support group meetings for families of children with special needs and trained all staff at participating centers in the Ages and Stages Questionnaires, inclusion, making referrals, Activity Based Intervention, and all issues dealing with quality classrooms and developmental appropriate practices. Erin also worked as an Infant Toddler Specialist serving numerous children at our site as well as in the community. The parents really appreciated Erin’s skills and all of the strategies that she was able to provide them. | ||
![]() | Jeannie Anthony Jeannie is a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College. She has a BA Degree in Early Childhood Education. She also attended the University of Kentucky at Bowling Green to continue her studies of Infant Toddler Development. Jeannie worked many years at the Concord CDSA as a Case Manager before deciding to work solely as a Play Therapist. | |

![]() | Katherine Generaux Katherine’s fulltime position is Community Inclusion Specialist at Partners In Learning. In that position she has been effective in modeling appropriate interactions with young children with special needs. Her ongoing presence in the classrooms modeling best practices for infants and toddler is resulting in additional experience while making a positive difference in early childhood programming. She is very aware of what is developmentally appropriate and engaging with the children. Her Birth through Kindergarten Degree and experience are evident in her service to children and families. Katherine has been providing CBRS for our children since 2009. | |
![]() | Michelle Macon Michelle Macon has been a part of the Partners In Learning family since 2006. As a mother of two children, experience working with infants and toddlers and implementing techniques learned from obtaining a B- K degree, she learned that child development is a continually growing passion of hers. It brings her deep joy to see children overcome developmental milestone difficulties with the assistance of caregivers, teachers, and therapists. On a daily basis Michelle builds positive relationships with the 100 plus families served at Partners In Learning, her goal is to do the same with the CBRS families and to facilitate developmentally appropriate activities to help them reach their IFSP goals. | |
![]() | Norma Honeycutt Norma Honeycutt is the supervisor for our Community Based Services. She has also been providing CBRS since 2004. Norma has her BA Degree in Child and Family Development and is working toward a Masters in Leadership in Early Care and Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Norma has extensive experience in working with children on the autism spectrum and is able to offer families new strategies to assist their child in reaching their goals. | |
![]() | Suzanne Koontz Suzanne is highly motivated and has continued to be persistent about her desire to work as a CBRS provider for Partners In Learning. All of her references are glowing, including comments from her supervisor at Winston-Salem State University Child Development Center and Lab School where she received her BA Degree in Child and Family Development. She stated that Suzanne had wonderful interactions with the children and families, was trustworthy, strong interpersonal skills and was very well organized. Suzanne has been providing CBRS for Partners In Learning since 2009. | |
